John Calvin Kelly
John Calvin Kelly (MARK) is a recent graduate of the Neighborhood Playhouse. John has
been is such performances as Estragon in Waiting For Godot (Studio 106), Max
Bialystock in The Producers (Rita Wallach-Morgenthau Theater), Horace in Time Flies
(Rita Wallach-Morgenthau Theater), Interpreter in Arabian Nights (Rita Wallach-
Morgenthau Theater), Burger in Too Bad (Theatre 54) and Red in True Colors. His film
work includes Jerry in Bad Hair Day. John is a co-founder of the writing group C Group
Players with Avery Pearson and Duane Cooper, where they are in pre-production on a
new project WAITERS. John is proud to make his Off Broadway debut with The Hunt For
Treasure and would like to thank is family, English Rose Productions, and friends who
have made this all possible. This performance is dedicated to the late Margo Skinner.
She will always be in my heart.
The Cast
Avery Pearson
Avery Pearson (JASON) has been pining over The Hunt For Treasure
since its inception in 1999 in Canada and is thrilled to be making his Off
Broadway debut in this project. He was born and raised in Toronto and is
an accomplished pianist, guitar player, and singer/songwriter. He
attended Unionville High School for the Performing Arts as a Drama Major
(with John Calvin Kelly, Adam Risbridger and Byron Laviolette), and later
studied at Concordia University in Montréal where he received a
Bachelor of Fine Arts, Acting Specialization. Avery then made the big
move to NYC where he studied at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Favorite
roles include: Blaise De Françaux in The Person I Once Was (Rita Wallach-
Morgenthau Theater), Roger Elizabeth Debris in The Producers (Rita
Wallach-Morgenthau Theater), Rabbi Perl in Soul Searching: A New Rock
Musical (45th Street Theatre), Octavius in Julius Caesar, Louis Pescatore
in Den of Thieves (Stella Adler Theater), and Sam in English Rose
Productions' and Illyrian Entertainment's short film Classified Blues.
Avery is a co-founder of the writing group C Group Players with John
Calvin Kelly and Duane Cooper where they are in pre-production on a new
project WAITERS. Avery is overwhelmed to be working with such a
talented and creative group; He would like to thank John, Adam, Byron,
Fritz and Robin for their brilliance and English Rose Productions for their
foresight, passion and creativity. He would also like to thank his friends
and family for their un-wavering support of his passions. Also, Beth,
Duane and Jill for keeping him stable and his parents for their love,
support and guidance. A special note of appreciation and gratitude goes
out to Michael Werner for putting all of the pieces together.
